Birds swoop and dive on thermal currents high in the sky; a thrumming drone grows from the forests behind you and in the clouds above, drawing you upwards as rumbling bass shakes you free from the ground. This is the mysterious world of sonic contrasts brought to you in our latest sample pack release, Airborne – Processed Field Recordings!

Featuring 60 exquisitely detailed, royalty-free samples, overflowing with texture, motion and intimate character, this collection of location recordings and sound design elements is perfect for exploring new realms of spectral depth and complexity in your next Ambient or Cinematic production.

At the heart of the selection are 20 pristine field recordings captured across woodlands, grasslands, dunes and suburban environments, from dawn to the depths of night. Expect chattering birds, spattering rain, and rustling wind to humming machinery, whining aircraft, distant church bells and beyond.

Accompanying this are 20 processed samples that are recognisably environmental in their source yet with added intensity applied through cutting-edge time-domain, granulation and spectral techniques. This set is split into 12 drones which melt into abstract tones and timbres, and 8 inharmonic textures which delve into more eery, sinister sonic spaces.

Running between 30 and 100 seconds in length, there is ample material within each of these samples for conjuring entire sound worlds in your DAW bursting with intricate atmospheric edge.

It’s time to untether yourself from the earth and soar into the vibrating skies above with Airborne – Processed Field Recordings today!
