Basimilus is a parameterized digital synthesizer with its roots in the analog world. At its heart it is a simple six-oscillator additive synthesizer with adjustable waveform, harmonic spread and decay. Plus, an adjustable attack stage with a noise oscillator is also included. Oscillators are summed and fed into an infinifolder – Noise Engineering’s unique take on a wavefolder – for crunch and variety. Three modes change the interaction of the additive oscillators, allowing for incredibly versatile sound design with just a few tweaks. Basimilus is a go-to drum synth, but also excels at leads, basses, and more.
Features:
– Digital VCO
– 6-operator additive/FM synth
– Rack Extension
Product Description:
– Oscillator waveforms smoothly morph through sine, triangle, saw, and square
– Individual attack and decay controls for complete control over transient shape, noise, and tail
– Infinifolder wavefolding algorithm shapes sounds in unique ways
– Spread adjusts the frequency spacing of all oscillators for simple control over harmonic or dissonant additive relationships
– Envelope output allows for further patching
– Go even deeper with back-panel patching: all front-panel controls can be controlled via CV or self patched with the built-in Envelope output
– Inspired by hardware: designed with patching and CV modulation in mind
– 500 presets
