Short Strings captures a small, chamber-sized ensemble, playing the staccato technique in a playful manner- great for scoring anything from small-scale action to romantic comedies, or layering with other strings in your collection for a more intimate sound.

Short Strings is a playful sampling of a small chamber-sized ensemble playing the staccato articulation. Its versatility spans from intimate pieces to more action-orientated compositions, injecting dynamism and liveliness into your score.

Recorded at The Nave, Studio 1 the library offers an opportunity to experience the sound of the hall in which String Formations and Tom Factory were also recorded, whilst also complimenting the Long Con Sordino articulation found in our previous Blueprint: Gentle Strings.

Colour
EQ effect to change the brightness of the overall sound.

Stereo Width
Controls the stereo widening effect. Turn clockwise to widen the signal. Turn fully anticlockwise for a mono signal.

Release
Control the length of the release samples.

Reverb
Control the level of reverb with further settings if you click on the cog.

Mic Mix
Individually control three different mic signals at different distances from the instruments. Mute [M], Solo [S], and Purge [⏻] each signal. Adjust the perspective to easily control all Microphone signals.

Sample Start
Increase the sample start time to reduce latency. Decrease the sample start time for more realism. The latency above is the correct number for the use of negative delay (pre-delay) in your DAW MIDI settings.

Velocity Response
Increase the velocity response to accentuate the volume difference between soft and hard velocities. Reduce the slider to increase the volume of the softer dynamics.
