TUTORiAL | 920 MB
Hosted at Larrabee Studios in L.A., this series features the acclaimed mixer Jimmy Douglass mixing a song from scratch! Using the Pro Tools multi-track, a SSL 9080 XL K-Series console, plug-ins, and outboard gear, Douglass mixes the song ‘Lost It All’ by Jared Evan. You can witness his entire workflow from project start to finish as he rearranges the session layout, troubleshoots, edits, corrects pitch, and mixes until the final printing stage. Throughout the series, he demonstrates his treatment used for male vocals, drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, and live strings. Aside from explaining his techniques, Jimmy Douglass elaborates on such pertinent subjects as monitoring, mix translation, console headroom, distortion, and more!
