MEGA Sampler, from Plugin Alliance, is a convenient online-based sampler and library that you can access from within any DAW. In this hour-plus MEGA Sampler video course, studio guru Eli Krantzberg takes you through its features and demonstrates its capabilities with helpful audio examples so you can see and hear it in action as you learn. You’ll see how to select, edit, manipulate, and blend samples, along with a host of other tips. These videos are for new MEGA Sampler users.
To begin, Eli welcomes you and provides an overview of the MEGA Sampler interface and workflow. You’ll see how to browse and search for samples – both online and those already on your hard drive – and learn how to apply filters to your searches for more precise results. Discover also how easy it is to import third-party loops into MEGA Sampler via drag-and-drop and tag them with searchable meta data.
Next, explore the topics of loop range and play mode, as you learn how to change start/stop positions, playback direction and transposition, and other parameters. Then Eli covers the three different included filters and demonstrates each, along with their individual sets of controls, followed by the LFO section and its assignable parameters.
Throughout the remainder of the course, you’ll learn about many other features, including the amp envelope controls (for changing the volume characteristics of the samples), Master FX (virtual pedal effects from Black Box Analog Design, SPL, and others!), output routing (including demonstrations in Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and Studio One), and more!
With this MEGA Sampler course, you’ll learn everything you need to know in order to make MEGA Sampler an integral part of your production workflow in no time, as Eli leaves few stones unturned. Check out the descriptions below for more information on each MEGA Sampler video and the ways in which you can make use of this powerful sampler in your next session.
