The Audio side lets you select:
1. Audio device type as:
a. Windows Audio
b. DirectSound
c. ASIO
and probably other types of multimedia devices you may have.
Then you can select the input and output.

The VST version does NOT have the above options unfortunately, which is a pity because if you are like me who needs a mini-host as a VST that ALSO allows you to have the device options then this is a serious let down.
