Wav – 4mb
The one and only Oberheim DMX.
What it is:
A collection of samples, plus an Ableton Live project, from the iconic DMX.
How we use it:
Any and all DMX needs.
Why it’s cool:
Reverb delivers a purists take on the DMX, making it difficult to forget you’re not playing the real box.
Oberheim DMX (1980)
The drum machine that birthed Hip-hop, the DMX uses samples of real drums, with switchable sound chips that can be replaced for other sounds. Allowing 100 sequences and 50 songs, the Oberheim DMX was produced as a part of a ensemble of Oberheim instruments, such as the Oberheim OB-X, and OB-Xa, all of which helped greatly influence countless hits in the 80s.
