SMASH Indie Pop Rock Drums Vol.1 MULTiFORMAT

Soundcheck Samples is proud to introduce SMASH: Indie Pop Rock Drums Volume 1. First in a series of multi-channel, multi-microphone drum loop libraries, SMASH brings 12 kits in the styles of chart topping Indie, Pop, and Rock hits.

SMASH was recorded at one of LA’s premiere world-class recording studios using the highest quality microphones, mic pre’s, compressors, eq’s, and other outboard gear. This collection was recorded at the highest quality 24bit, 48k across a Neve console and mixed on an SSL console utilizing techniques that you hear on countless records today.

A wonderful Mapex drum kit composed of 14 Orion Drums, 14×6-Vintage Tama Snare, 13×5-Mapex Black Panther Steel Snare, Sabian Cymbals and Evans Drumheads were used to ensure the highest quality sound was recorded and brought into this library. SMASH maximizes flexibility and sound by using 19 different microphone positions during this recording process:

Kick In, Kick Out, Sub Kick, Snare Top 1, Snare Top 2, Snare Bottom, Hi Hat, Ride, Tom Hi, Tom Mid, Tom Low, Overheads L, Overheads R, Rooms Close L, Rooms Close R, Rooms Mid L, Rooms Mid R, Rooms Far L, and Rooms Far R.

Using such microphones as:

Neumann U47 FET, Neumann TLM 170, Neumann M50, Neumann U87, Neumann U67, Sennheiser 421, Sennheiser 451, Shure Beta 52, Shure SM57

The vintage Neve console, with additional classic analog gear, was utilized to record SMASH and get “that record sound.” The samples were then mixed through a SSL 4100G console to polish and mold the sound and tones. All analog compressors, dynamics, and eq’s were used in creating SMASH so that you will have a rich, warm, and full-bodied sound to sculpt and add that huge live drum sound to your music.

All of the drum loops and construction kits come in both full multi-channel and stereo versions. With SMASH, you will receive full song sections to arrange, including: Intro, Verse, Pre-Chorus, Chorus, Bridge, Breakdown, Outro, and Fills.

SMASH includes both Multi-Channel and Stereo Files and Loops, all recorded at 24bit 48k and formatted in Acidized WAV, Apple Loops, REX and Big Fish Audio’s own KLI format. You are sure to have the format that works with your favorite looping and composing device! The SMASH collection will work with all major software and DAW’s ranging from Pro Tools, Logic, Reason, Ableton, Garage Band, Kontakt, Stylus, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase and more.

SMASH’s Kontakt version is part of the Big Fish Audio KLI Series and includes a custom user interface with various features to help make it easier to customize the included loops and sounds exactly the way you want. You’ll find all loops automatically sync to your host tempo. Each loop is presented in two different ways. First, with the “Mix” patches, you’ll find each loop as part of a complete stereo mix with Dry, Room and Comp options laid out across the keyboard for easy and quick arrangements. Second, in the “Stems” patches you’ll find the individual drum stems for each mic position laid out on the keyboard by group with dedicated sliders for more in-depth control of the mix and levels making this product your “go to” drum loop collection!
