‘Spectrality: Spatial Impulses’ by Particular paints the world in colour with dimensional impulses of harmonic backdrops, singularity warps and a soothing plunge into the deepest interstellar space. Suitable for just about any style needing a bit of unconventional acoustics.
This second installment in the Spectrality series is mostly created by sending something electronic (synthesizers or weird recordings) into a diverse range of effects and then through some analogue goodness on its way back.
The result ranges from soothing depths to plain beautiful weirdness, and all in between.
There might and might not be inherent pitch in the impulses. Total alignment in pitch to the source material might cause recursive feedback, so watch your speakers! Experiment, and see what might be born out of skewing the impulse pitch a bit.
Impulses are divided into four folders:
• Short: contains 101 impulses
• Medium: contains 75 impulses
• Long: contains 56 impulses
• Huge: contains 37 impulses
All summing up to 269 impulses, or in other words, 573 MB of 48 kHz, 24-Bit WAV files.
Gear Used:
KYMA, SCOPE, Kurzweil KDFX system, Oberheim OB-MX, API 2500, Kush Clariphonic, Rodec Restyler, and a whole armada of exotic VST effect plugins.
All impulses in the audio demo are loaded into SIR2, by Christian Knufinke. Loops in the demo from ‘Space Rangers: Phrases’ by Particular.
