Teenage Engineering is well known for its highly innovative and portable electronic music devices. With the OP-Z (the first standalone 16-track multimedia sequencer and synthesizer), the Stockholm-based company takes audio and visual expression to a whole new level. In this course, artist and trainer Thavius Beck reveals the ins and outs of this powerful and intriguing instrument.
Thavius starts the course by explaining how to use the OP-Z hardware in tandem with the optional iOS app, which as will see can open up a lot of creative options. After getting an overview of the OP-Z internal structure, you dive into projects, patterns and tracks, and you learn how to do both live and step recordings.
