Playing chord melody arrangements on ukulele is not very common, even though it’s so easy
to learn and sounds so great! It can transform even the most simple of tunes into
beautiful engaging arrangements.
In this first module of Chord Melody for Uke, Marcy Marxer will teach you a very versatile vocabulary of major and dominant chord voicings designed to highlight the melodies of any of the songs you already play, or would like to learn.
You’ll play your way through the course, first learning how to construct chord melody arrangements, and then working on a series of chord melody arrangements and playalongs.
Marcy kicks of the course with a primer addressing Uke Sizes & Considerations, Right-Hand Tips, and best practices for Working With The Course. Then in the first section, Marcy covers Major Chords with a series of demonstration lessons and playalongs.

In the second section, Marcy covers Dominant Chords, also with a series of demonstration lessons and playalongs.
SECTION 2: C7 Chord Scale, F7 Chord Scale, G7 Chord Scale, Bb7 Chord Scale, Changing Keys, Chord Melody Arrangement 3: Down In The Valley, and Chord Melody Arrangement 4: The Saints in C. Marcy includes an indispensable collection of chord charts, chord scale diagrams, tab, notation, and jam tracks. Every lesson also includes a playalong practice session to help you internalize all of the chord shapes and voicings. You can loop and slow down any of the videos so you can work with the lessons at your own pace.
